Calculator inputs and saved scenarios

The tools use the values you enter, including dates, service history, salary, savings, and assumptions, to create estimates. Some tools calculate in your browser; tools using our configured calculation service transmit the required inputs to that service over HTTPS when you request a calculation. The application saves profile and scenario values in your browser’s local storage for reuse across tools. No registration is required to read guides or use calculators.

You can remove saved inputs with Clear Saved Data in the navigation or by clearing this site’s browser storage. Files that you choose to save or print remain under your control. Do not enter Social Security numbers, account credentials, or other information the calculator does not require.

Email reports and contact requests

If you choose to email a report, the destination email address and report contents are sent to the Google Apps Script email service used by the site. Reports can contain financial estimates and personal inputs. Use an address you control and review recipients before sending. Printing or saving a report locally does not request email delivery.

The contact form opens a draft in your email application. It does not submit a message automatically. If you send that draft, we receive your email address and the information you include to respond to your request. Please do not send sensitive financial records in support messages.

Optional analytics and storage choices

Google Analytics loads only after you accept optional analytics. It receives page-view information and technical information about the browser and connection, and may use cookies or other identifiers. We do not send calculator inputs, report contents, email addresses, or URL query parameters as analytics events. Declining optional analytics does not block the guides or calculators. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent disables analytics and removes the site’s Google Analytics cookies.

Advertising and third parties

Google AdSense advertising is currently disabled while the site is prepared for review. The AdSense verification tag and ads.txt entry identify a publisher; they do not serve ads. If advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google’s advertising cookies can enable personalized advertising based on visits to this and other websites. Advertising consent controls must be in place before serving ads where required.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Page requests, external images, fonts, and any primary-source links you open are handled by the respective service providers, which can receive technical request information such as your IP address. Their privacy policies apply to their own services.

Your choices and requests

Contact support@myfedplan.us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent directly to us. Include enough information to locate your request without sending passwords or government identifiers. Local calculator values are stored on your device; clear them using the controls above. We use support correspondence to handle requests, and applicable records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. This site is intended for adults planning federal retirement.
